VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

President (Australian or NZ Citizen) 

The President is at the forefront of ANZA and oversees all aspects of ANZA’s activities to ensure it’s operations are in accordance with the constitution. This role is the key figure in driving ANZA’s team to achieve its Social Welfare responsibility by ensuring that ANZA continues to have a strong presence within the expat community; securing and fostering key relationships and driving a fun, inclusive culture. 

Marketing and Communications

The Marketing & Communications Director is responsible for establishing and maintaining a brand and presence in the ex-pat community, with the purpose of generating revenue from sponsorship and membership. This role works closely with all aspects of the ANZA team to ensure that the club continues to attract interest thereby enabling ongoing social welfare operations. It is also responsible for advertisement design and management of ANZA’s website and social media accounts.

Sponsorship Director

The Sponsorship Lead is responsible for managing existing and soliciting new sponsors for ANZA. Sponsors funding is needed to maintain the operation of ANZA House and to support the numerous social welfare projects that ANZA operates. It involves finding suitable businesses that share common interests to partner with ANZA and its main events.

Membership

ANZA has about 300 members. Our membership team updates the membership list and maintains files, organises regular New Members Morning Teas, and looks after new members bags. We also organise ANZA Link Ladies, who welcome new members to ANZA and Jakarta.

Treasurer

The Treasurer leads and manages all financial matters of ANZA in accordance to the set standards. They are responsible for organizing the ongoing data processing. Ensures proper accounting procedures and their accurate reflection in the various financial statements. Responsible for preparing financial reports, identifies issues and concerns, takes corrective action. Has command responsibility on the preparation of budgets. Supervises the day to day activities in order to achieve the set financial goals. 

Mains Secretary

The Mains Secretary ensures that ANZA meets its constitutional obligations through the management and organisation of key documentation and deliverables. This role oversees the provision of information and facilities needed for the ANZA team to perform it’s various roles through office and document management.

Playgroup Coordinator

The playgroup coordinator is responsible for attending playgroup and welcoming new parents to the group, as well as organising rhyme time and other activities. The playgroup coordinator may seek out partnerships with existing sponsors or external providors to conduct activities that appeal to the playgroup. The playgroup coordinator may also support in planning for the children’s annual Christmas party.

Social Welfare Director

The SW Director is at the forefront of ANZA and oversees all aspects of ANZA’s activities to ensure it’s operations are in accordance with the constitution. This role is the key figure in driving ANZA’s team to achieve its Social Welfare responsibility by ensuring that ANZA continues to have a strong presence within the expat community; securing and fostering key relationships and driving a fun, inclusive culture.  

Social Welfare Secretary

The Social Welfare Secretary supports the SW Director and committee members to document and file the relevant information related to the various activities and projects SW undertakes.

The Vice President works closely with the President to ensure that ANZA’s team achieves its Social Welfare responsibility by ensuring that ANZA continues to have a strong presence within the expat community; and by securing and fostering key relationships and driving a fun and inclusive culture.

Front Desk Volunteers

ANZA always need volunteers to help work the Front Desk from 9am to 12pm Monday to Friday. It's a great opportunity to meet new people, and volunteers work on a roster system, so you can choose how often you work. This is a vital role at ANZA House, and no Bahasa Indonesia is needed.

House Manager

If you like to manage and organise, then help us run ANZA House. Make sure maintenance work is completed, help the ANZA House staff, liaise with the house function coordinators and help with the Front Desk Roster. It's just like managing a household!

ANZA Berita Magazine  

This year our quarterly magazine, ANZA Berita has undergone a major transformation and it is looking better than ever. Berita is our quarterly magazine and there are many ways to help. If you have a story to tell, have been on a great holiday, have had an interesting expat experience, we are always looking for more articles to publish. If you have experience in layout and design, we welcome help and new ideas.

EVENTS

Events Coordinator

The events coordinator is responsible for managing ANZA’s calendar of major events and provides oversight and support to the house events manager and other event leads. The role requires close coordination with the ANZA committee, marketing and sponsorship teams.The role requires strong organisational skills and a willingness to engage proactively with numerous external parties, including hotels, F&B vendors etc.

Melbourne Cup Luncheon

This is the one day in November that Australia stops for a horse race. ANZA loves to celebrate this day with lots of champagne, good food, great friends and “the race”. It is a fun event to organise, so bring your ideas and friends and be part of the team.

ANZA Ball

Once a year ANZA organises a wonderful evening event “The ANZA Ball”. It's one of our major fundraisers and is a fantastic night to dress up with your partner, eat, drink and dance the night away. Lots of people are needed to organise the event and to help on the evening.

Monthly House Functions Team

Do you like organising parties? Why not join the monthly House Function team to arrange a fun get together each month at ANZA House. Functions can range from casual BBQs to themed costume parties, quiz nights and fortunes nights. You will coordinate with our in-house catering team as needed and all you need are lots of ideas, a dash of creativity and an appetite for fun.
